Refund Policy

Pre-registration / Virtual conference fees are non-refundable.
The In-Person Supplement Fee is refundable minus $15 USD (MXN 300) until April 30th
If cancelling after May 1st, no refunds are possible (unless there is another exceptional circumstance --pandemic new wave, hurricane, etc.--in which case refunds might be possible, minus administrative fees, but only in the case a corresponding notice is issued in that event).

Scholarships

The PME-NA parent organization runs a scholarship program for graduate students and faculty members who would benefit from financial support to attend the conference. Scholarship applications will be solicited after decisions have been made on Research Reports and Brief Research Reports in May 2020. More information here. Application dealine is June 8, 2020.

Hotel Accommodations

The 42nd PME-NA conference in 2020, will take place at El Cid Resort in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. El Cid Resorts Mazatlán consists of a complex of 3 interconnected hotels in the same beach site: El Cid Castilla, El Cid El Moro, and El Cid Granada. Another hotel, El Cid Marina, is ten minutes away and can be reached by a free shuttle. Participants will mostly stay at El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel, a 5 star hotel, which has 400 rooms and suites with ocean-view, with either 2 queen-size beds or a 1 king size bed. The current special all-inclusive room rate, per person, per night, is approximately $160 USD in a single room, or $90 USD in a double room. More expensive rooms are available at the more El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel: a high-rise 27 stories tower, provides many more rooms, and includes 6 person suites which are suitable for graduate students.The same expensive rates are available at El CId Marina, the exclusive beach hotel ten minutes away connected by free shuttle.

Cheaper rooms are available at El Cid Granada.

The all-inclusive rate includes the room rate, all meals (in 8 restaurants), snacks in pool areas, drinks in some areas, taxes and tips, as well as many recreational activities.

+These rates are for adults and accompanying teenagers over 12. Children from 6 to under 12 years old, pay $450 MXN per night. Children under 6, are free.

*Rates are valid from 3 days before the conference to 3 days after the conference. All meals are included with the accommodation, since the hotel is All-Inclusive.
